I always enjoy hearing our Preacher preach and today was no exception! His message was on Complaining! It was great! Good to hear and be reminded about what we have as Americans. A group from our church recently went to Romania on a week long missions trips. They went and met up with a Missionary there that ministers to the Romanian and the Gypsy people. He told stories of how they went to the POOREST village in the whole area to see the area and talk to the people who live there. He told of how it is so bad that they are raising money there to built new "homes" for these people there. I " " homes because he said a home is not what we think of there .. it is a SMALL building with maybe two rooms in the whole place. He said that they walked into the village and the kids and people were grabbing their hands and pulling them to their homes. He said not to show them how bad they have it but to proudly show them their homes and their prized possessions! He said that the prized possessions that they brought out were broken tea cups and broken toys and board games that didnt have all the pieces. They were beaming with pride to show the group what they had. He also said the thing that struck him so was that they were soooo happy! He said everywhere you looked was poverty and everywhere you looked there was happiness! They just were happy with life and what they had they kept well care of it and were proud of it!
It was just a GREAT reminder to be thankful for what we have. What God has given us... And to stop COMPLAINING about everything in our lives. Just really enjoyed hearing the message! And the reminder of what we REALLY have been blessed with as Americans!
