Patriot Flag

So last weekend we went away for the weekend... while driving out of town we noticed this Ginormous Flag. So we stopped so the kids could see and well so we could too. Isnt this flag sooo neat and amazing! This is the Patriot Flag. A few business men from CA made this flag and flew it for 8 months. This is the biggest flag flown weighing in at 75lbs. Well they had a wonderful idea to have it taken to all 50 States and 106 countries that had people lost in the horrible 9/11 attacks. Then this fall...It is gonna be given to the memorial at Ground Zero. This will be the 10th anniversary and that day it will be flown in PA, The Capital and Ground Zero. So just thought it was amazing to see and be a part of and that it was in our little town!!

Got to hear a man that was part of the rescue attempt at ground zero that day. Got to see pieces of the twisted steel.

This was an amazing Semi that was there and it is a reminder so no one forgets what happened or to who and when! It was very sobering to see! All of those little names are of the people that died that day.. who they were and where they did and what time everything happened! I didnt see it right then but after looking at my pics you can see in the background in blue it says.. SEPTEMBER 11th, 2001. It is quite an amazing thing to see!

Was really glad that we got to see this that day and be a part of it all and take a few minutes to remember what happened and talk to Ethan about what happened that day!

Can not believe that it is gonna be TEN YEARS this fall!!!
