School Carnival

So every year at Ethan's School they have a Carnival in the Fall. A fundraising VERY fun type thing for the individual classes. At the end of the Night the Class tallies their tickets and tickets translates into cash that they can have for their class to buy much needed things the teachers wants. Each class puts on a booth (game) and the parents of that class donate prizes and volunteer their time to run the booth for time slots, to set up or to clean up at the end of the night. The kids get tickets for participating in another fundraiser ... the bikathon.... how much they raise for $$ or how many miles they bike ='s free tickets for them to play the booths. And you can also buy tickets when you get there. Each booth is 1-3 tickets to play. They have snow cones and pizza and soda and candy you can buy too with the tickets! It just TONS of fun for the kids! Ethan LOVES to go. So this first pic is the very FIRST thing he wanted to do when we got there! =) The big bouncy house. Poor guy mommy wasnt thinking (with his bronchitis) and by the time he got done jumping and playing in their he came out coughing red faces and pooped! =) So that was the only time we went in there but he loved it.
This one was a ball toss at these bottles that were stacked on top of each other. Ethan did great on this one! The first time he did it he knocked down all the bottles except one single one!

Ellie was just WONDERFUL! She stayed right by my side and jumped around and played. Watched all the kids and just took it all in! Momma was sure proud of her!! This was a Colts bean bag toss. They gave you five bean bags and you had to throw them and get them in the hole right above the word Colts. Ethan got four out of five. It was so funny because the lady said Okay you get to get FIVE pieces of Candy for that. Ethan must of said.. Five? to her like five times! Like Whoa are you sure that I can get five??? ha ha! Too cute!

Ha ha... Dont know what this was all about .. I think she was in the middle of saying something to me!

This was the First Grade ( whoooo hoooooo) Football Toss. There were three different holes and the smaller the hole the BIGGER the prize. We had TONS of awesome prices! It was great! Just a fun game. The line was so long for this game .. all the time. Ethan got one in the smallest hole. So that was fun for him!

And so then we got the BEST thing of the night.. the thing that for the REST of the night Ella was enchanted by! ha ha! SNOW CONES! ha ha ha! She ate hers and Ethans while he was playing all the games!

This game was decorated really cute. It was a Mexican Spanish type theme. They have two ropes that the kids had to pull tight and they put a ball at the top and it would roll down and when it would get over the two catus decorated boxes you had to open the ropes and make the ball drop in the boxes! Cute!

It was pretty hard.. but Ethan really enjoyed playing it!

This game is super cute. Fishing Frenzy. They put put an enclosed area and then decorate the outside like it is the ocean. They have fishing poles and at the end of the poles are clips. The kids walk up and cast their line over the top of this and then the "fish" (people behind the enclosed area) put treats on the end of their poles and throw the line back to them. It is cute!

They had a face painting both. Ethan told them a shark and this is what the girl did. I didnt tell him it looked like a little fish! ha ha!

And a Snake on the other side. I tried to get Ella to sit for a flower on her cheek but she would have none of that.. the snow cone was much more exciting!

This was a cute little game. It was a crocodile game. They had this toy croc head. The kids had to push three teeth in before the croc clamped down on their hand. If they could do this they got alot of candy. It was funny because they had play fingers by the crocs head that look like they have just been severed by the croc! ha ha! You should of seen Ethans eyes! ha ha!

One of the things I love about the hallways of the school is that they do bulletin boards all over the place. Well in one area they boards are just covered with the art classes projects! Different styles and periods that she is teaching them in art. Very cute and neat to see all the kids same papers in the same class. So as we were walking by to help put everything away from the night I saw they had a new one up and this is Ethans class! The one at the bottom right to the left of his head is his!

So although it was Friday night and we were all sooooo tired and kinda still sick we went to the Carnival and had so much fun! I wasnt sure how Ella would do but she did GREAT! And Ethan kept running around saying, "This is the best day of my life!" ha ha ha! Glad we were able to go and enjoy this. So glad he has a great Christian School to go to that does these fun things for the kids! I love places that have FUN GOOD SAFE stuff for kids to do. Nice to have something to replace the Dont do this and Dont do that of our world. =)

Ethan is fast asleep on the couch, Ella went RIGHT to bed and was barely moving as I tucked her into bed! Nice when the kids are dog tired! ha ha! And mommy is just vegging out on the computer. Gonna watch one of my tv shows that I always miss online now and surf the web. Waiting for the Best Man ever to get home from camping. Think he should be home before midnight tonight! WHOOOO HOOOO! Sooo looking forward to our weekend together! Will be nice to be able to just rest and try to get us all better before another INSANELY BUSY week starts all over again!
